How should kids soccer cleats fit?

Bring your child in to try cleats on with soccer socks - that's the only reliable way to get the fit right, and it's why we exist. A good fit has about a thumb's width (roughly half an inch) of growing room at the toe, no slipping at the heel, and no pinching across the width. Kids with wide feet often need a different model, not just a bigger size - we stock multiple brands so we can find the shape that fits your child's foot.

What does my child need for the first season?

• Cleats (firm-ground for grass, turf shoes for turf)
• Shin guards sized by height, worn under the socks
• A ball: Size 3 for ages under 8, Size 4 for ages 8-12, Size 5 for ages 13 and up
• Soccer socks and a water bottle

Sizes: We stock kids cleats starting at size 9K/10K and adult sizes up to 13.5, at price points for first-time players through serious club players.
